When we get work done on our home, we want to make sure we are getting the right people for the job. That’s why it’s important to ask the right questions before anything is made official. However, when it comes to tree care service, many of us might not know the right questions to ask. Here are some of the things you should question before you hire them.
Be sure that they will provide you with an up-to-date certificate of insurance and a copy of their contract. This is by and large the most important thing you should ask them for, as you want to make sure they are properly insured. If not, you run the risk of being liable for potential injuries they suffer or damage they cause when working on your property.
Ask them what their credentials are. Ideally, you want a company that is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist, a Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) Accredited Business. Also, be sure to ask for a list or reference for you to check out before you hire them. If they are a good company, they are going to have happy customers. Once you have those, go and take a look at the projects and see if those customers got what you are looking for.
Don’t forget to ask them questions about the overall project itself. See how they are going to approach it, what equipment is going to be used and how long it is going to take. From there you will be able to get more of an idea of how they operate and if what they plan to do will coincide with what you want done.
